Microsoft has released a new public preview of its iOS and Android mobile software for Power Apps running both 'canvas' and 'application powered' applications.
Power Apps from Microsoft is an example of a 'low-code' tool that allows non-coders to create business apps without learning a language such as C#.
A canvas software enables a designer to create an interface by moving elements onto a canvas and adding multi-source data such as SharePoint or Excel, and other non-Microsoft sources. For the user the architecture of model-driven applications is decided.
The latest mobile beta Power Apps unifies all types of software in a single app which offers a single list of canvas and model-driven apps.
"Today, using both the canvas and model-driven apps on a mobile device together is a frustrating experience as it needs two separate mobile apps to be installed on your computer," said Kavishi Agarwal, program manager for Power Apps.
In Power Apps, Microsoft has provided model-driven apps with a modern, intuitive mobile user interface with gesture support, improved animations, and a cleaner layout to suit the overall device interface on iOS and Android.
